COUNTRY LEVEL

The Call to Action

at country level

Global commitments to ending GBV in emergencies are being translated into action at country and regional level, through contextualised frameworks and practitioner networks working across all humanitarian regions.

Contextualising the roadmap

Call to Action partners are working to adapt the global Roadmap to specific country contexts, embedding its priorities within existing humanitarian coordination structures and translating global commitments into concrete, locally-owned action.

Nigeria

Nigeria Country Roadmap

Nigeria has developed a dedicated country-level roadmap, bringing together national authorities as well international and local organisations to coordinate GBV prevention and response across the country. The Roadmap sets out shared priorities and commitments adapted to the Nigerian context.

The CAFI Network

The CAFI Network (Call to Action Field Implementation) is a global alliance of WLOs, feminist civil society actors, and humanitarian partners working to strengthen protection and GBV in emergencies response through locally-led humanitarian action.

CAFI works across Colombia, Venezuela, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Niger, and Ukraine, bringing together more than 250 WLOs through its national partners. Network members implement protection and GBV services, lead community-based protection initiatives, and actively participate in national protection and GBV coordination mechanisms.

CAFI has developed substantial operational and advocacy experience through joint learning, evidence generation, and global engagement. The Network has produced analysis and advocacy on shrinking humanitarian space and funding cuts affecting women-led protection actors, and has contributed to donor engagement, multilateral dialogue, and policy discussions on locally-led GBV response. CAFI seeks to amplify frontline perspectives within global protection architecture and to ensure that protection strategies are informed by the realities, expertise, and leadership of women-led actors working directly with affected communities.
