Norway takes on leadership of Call to Action (2025-2026)

2024 Call to Action Webinars Series
In 2024, the Call to Action, led by Germany, held a series of five webinars on GBV funding, localized coordination, programming with WLOs and WRLOs, the inclusion of adolescent girls’ needs in humanitarian settings, and the 2023 Call to Action Annual Report. These webinars served to highlight crucial workstreams within the Call to Action and to discuss key recommendations to jointly tackle GBV.
Call to Action at the Global Refugee Forum 2023
On the occasion of the Global Refugee Forum, held between 12–14 December 2023, the Call to Action (CtA), under the leadership of Germany and with the support of the UK, Australia, Chile, and UNHCR, hosted the Parallel High-Level Event on “Gender Equality and Protection from Gender-Based Violence.”
High-level Roundtable hosted by the Emergency Relief Coordinator and the Call to Action
On 6 November 2023, the Call to Action, led by Germany, and the Emergency Relief Coordinator (ERC) convened the High-Level Roundtable “From Commitments to Action: Practical Steps on Prioritizing GBV Prevention and Response in Emergencies and Addressing Funding Gaps“ at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN in New York.
