Over 100 partners gathered in Oslo to review progress on the Call to Action commitments and set priorities for 2026.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Call to Action (2013-2023), Germany – as Call to Action lead – commissioned an external review in 2024.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is very pleased to share that Norway has taken on the lead of CtA from January 1 2025.

On 17 December 2024, the Call to Action, led by Germany, hosted a webinar for its partners to present the Call to Action’s Annual Report 2023.

In 2024, the Call to Action, led by Germany, held a series of five webinars on GBV funding, localized coordination, programming with WLOs and WRLOs, the inclusion of adolescent girls’ needs in humanitarian settings, and the 2023 Call to Action Annual Report. These webinars served to highlight crucial workstreams within the Call to Action and to discuss key recommendations to jointly tackle GBV.

The 2024 Call to Action Annual Partners’ Meeting in Berlin demonstrated the value of the Call to Action as a powerful convening platform.

On the occasion of the Global Refugee Forum, held between 12–14 December 2023, the Call to Action (CtA), under the leadership of Germany and with the support of the UK, Australia, Chile, and UNHCR, hosted the Parallel High-Level Event on “Gender Equality and Protection from Gender-Based Violence.”

On 6 November 2023, the Call to Action, led by Germany, and the Emergency Relief Coordinator (ERC) convened the High-Level Roundtable “From Commitments to Action: Practical Steps on Prioritizing GBV Prevention and Response in Emergencies and Addressing Funding Gaps“ at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN in New York.
